Warranty Policy

PetNest Home gear is built for strong dogs, daily walks, training, and outdoor use. This Warranty Policy explains what is covered, what is not covered, and how to file a warranty claim.

Lifetime Warranty Coverage

PetNest Home offers a lifetime warranty for eligible manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship under normal use.

This warranty applies to PetNest Home dog harnesses, leashes, collars, and related dog walking gear purchased directly from our official store.

This warranty is designed to protect you against product defects. It does not cover chewing, biting, misuse, accidents, normal wear and tear, or damage caused by improper use.

What’s Covered

Your warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that occur under normal use.

✅ Broken Buckles or Clips

Buckles, clips, or fasteners that break due to a manufacturing defect under normal walking use.

✅ Split Stitching

Seams or stitching that come apart due to a manufacturing defect.

✅ Material Defects

Fabric, mesh, webbing, or padding defects caused by material failure, not misuse.

✅ Hardware Failures

D-rings, leash clips, adjustment points, or metal hardware that fail under normal use.

What We’ll Do

If your warranty claim is approved, PetNest Home may offer one of the following solutions:

  • A free replacement of the same item, when available.
  • A replacement with a similar item if the original item is out of stock or discontinued.
  • A refund to your original payment method.
  • Store credit, if agreed upon by the customer.

The final solution may depend on the product condition, defect type, order history, inventory availability, and claim details.

What’s Not Covered

Our warranty does not cover damage caused by use outside normal walking, training, or everyday dog gear use.

Not Covered Examples
Chewing or Biting Damage Damage caused by your dog chewing, biting, scratching, or tearing the product.
Normal Wear & Tear Fading, dirt, scuffs, pilling, loose threads, worn fabric, or general wear from regular use over time.
Incorrect Sizing or Fit Damage caused by using the wrong size, improper adjustment, or excessive stress from poor fit.
Tethering or Tie-Out Use Damage from attaching the harness or leash to a fixed object, stake, zip-line, pole, fence, or tie-out system.
Misuse or Abuse Improper use, rough handling, overloading, dragging, cutting, burning, or using the product for unintended purposes.
Accidents Car accidents, falls, collisions, pet fights, sharp objects, or other external incidents.
Improper Cleaning Damage caused by bleach, harsh chemicals, high heat, machine drying, or improper washing.
Unauthorized Modifications Products altered, repaired, cut, sewn, glued, modified, or customized by the customer or a third party.
Lost or Stolen Items Items lost, stolen, misplaced, or discarded after delivery.
Important: The most common warranty denial is chewing or biting damage. Please store harnesses, leashes, and accessories safely when not in use.

Tethering Safety Notice

PetNest Home harnesses and leashes are designed for controlled walking, training, and everyday handling. They are not designed to be used as tie-out equipment.

We do not recommend tethering your dog to a fixed object using a harness or leash. Tethering can create serious safety risks, including tangling, choking, sudden impact force, and product damage when a dog lunges against a fixed point.

Damage caused by tethering, tie-outs, stakes, zip-lines, fixed anchors, or similar use is not covered under warranty.

How to File a Warranty Claim

To file a warranty claim, please contact us before sending anything back.

  2. Include your order number, the product name, and a brief description of what happened.
  3. Attach clear photos or videos showing the defect or damage.
  4. Tell us when you first noticed the issue and how the product was being used.
  5. Our support team will review your claim and reply with the next steps.

What to Include in Photos

Clear photos help us review your warranty claim faster.

  • A close-up photo of the defect or damaged area.
  • A full photo of the entire product.
  • Photos from multiple angles if the issue is not clear.
  • A photo of the buckle, stitching, hardware, or strap involved.
  • Clear, well-lit images without heavy blur or shadows.

Proof of Purchase

Proof of purchase is required for warranty claims.

  • Order number.
  • Order confirmation email.
  • Receipt or invoice from PetNest Home.
  • Email address used at checkout.

Warranty coverage may not apply to products purchased from unauthorized sellers, secondhand marketplaces, resale platforms, or third-party sellers.

Care & Maintenance

Proper care helps your PetNest Home gear last longer and can prevent avoidable warranty issues.

Harness, Collar & Leash Care

  • Hand wash or machine wash on a gentle cycle when needed.
  • Use mild detergent only.
  • Do not use bleach or harsh chemicals.
  • Air dry only. Do not use a dryer or high heat.
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from pets when not in use.
  • Check buckles, stitching, adjustment straps, and metal hardware before each walk.
Using bleach, high heat, harsh chemicals, or improper cleaning methods may void warranty coverage if the damage is caused by cleaning.

Processing Time

Step Estimated Time
Claim Review 1–3 business days after all required information is received.
Replacement Processing 1–3 business days after claim approval, subject to inventory availability.
Replacement Delivery Estimated delivery time depends on your shipping address and carrier service.
Refund Processing Usually 2–5 business days after approval. Your bank may take additional time to post the refund.

Return Shipping for Warranty Claims

If your item has an approved manufacturing defect, PetNest Home may cover reasonable return shipping costs or provide another solution depending on the claim.

  • If the issue is caused by a manufacturing defect, we will help with the replacement or refund process.
  • If the issue is not covered by warranty, the customer may be responsible for return shipping or replacement shipping costs.
  • Please do not ship any item back without receiving return instructions from our support team.

Warranty Limitations

PetNest Home reserves the right to inspect, approve, deny, or request additional information for any warranty claim.

  • Warranty coverage is limited to the original product purchased.
  • Warranty claims must be made by the original purchaser when possible.
  • Warranty does not cover indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Warranty does not replace responsible pet handling, proper sizing, proper adjustment, or regular product inspection.
  • PetNest Home may update this Warranty Policy at any time.
